Ok, with that being said. Let´s continue with the Certified Gold Exchange review!
What is Certified Gold Exchange?
Certified Gold Exchange (CGE) is a precious metal investment company that supplies numerous clients with gold and silver investment. Their customer service is oriented towards assisting clients in decisions concerned with choosing an investment plan that agrees with their needs.
The company offers precious metal purchase and supply services. The company has been in business for three decades this year. This makes them an experienced gold exchange company. According to available information concerning the company, buying silver or gold from them should be an easy endeavor.
Certified gold deals with widely traded physical gold and silver investments. The company also offers to handle your precious metal delivery. They also have an IRA plan that they offer to handle transactions for you if you consider working with them. The company claims to use the Google algorithm to check the prices offered by other reputable dealers’. With this, the company promises to beat those offers giving you the best offer on the sale or purchase of gold and silver.
The company has options for gold and silver for investors looking to purchase precious metals or invest in their IRA plan. This kind of investment provides security and a chance for growth by utilizing the strength of precious metals. Whether you are planning for retirement or just looking for investment opportunities, investing in precious metals is one of the best-proven means for a secure investment, especially one meant to run for long periods.
Address: 201 Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas, United States.
What products do they offer?
The company offers its clients gold or silver for direct purchase or investment into an IRA. These include;
- government minted gold and silver bullion coins.
- PCGS and NGC certified gold and silver coins.
- Johnson Mathey and credit Suisse gold bars.
- Johnson Mathey and Engelhard silver bars
- Other COMEX acceptable bars.
A precious metal investment, whether in an IRA plan or a traditional investment plan, grants you higher control of your assets. This is because of the flexibility precious metals offer. You can commit your assets to a retirement plan or any other of the multiple investments that take precious metal deposits.
Another advantage of investing in precious metals is choosing where to store your investment. You can opt to keep your gold or silver with a depository company or even with you at your home. The good thing about this is that your preferred option will not affect the size of your instalment.
Investing comes with varying risks depending on your choice of investment. With this in mind, you will want a kind of investment that favors you and ensures a lower risk for loss. As you invest using hard-earned money, which you have probably made over a long period, considering precious metal as one of your preferred investment choices is an excellent idea.
How to get started?
The first step to getting started on a precious metal investment is to visit the company website. This will give you the basic information concerning what the company offers, how long they have been offering it, and who to contact for further information.
On the Certified gold company website, you will find some information concerning the company. The company has included its year of establishment and specifics on what they offer. On this company’s website, you can get information about how they operate, their designated market, as well as contact and address information for any prospecting client.
Should you decide to invest with CGE, they claim that you will benefit from saving $1,288 for every $10,000 invested. The company also offers you a delivery service to your home for the gold or silver you buy.
However, information on the requirement for investing with CGE is not readily available.
Most of the information a client might want to have is missing from their website. Even though they claim to be among the best, I would ask that you do your research before you decide to purchase precious metals from Certified Gold, or with any other dealer for that matter.
Certified Gold Exchange IRA?
The company offers precious metals for IRA investment. They also offer services concerning rollover from one IRA plan to a precious metal IRA investment plan. Whether they offer an IRA plan or not, I couldn’t tell; that information has not been availed, though they have web posts with the title “certified gold IRA.”
Investing in a precious metal IRA with CGE means acquiring physical gold to protect yourself from inflation and reduce the risk of losing your investment through devaluation, among other factors. The company offers options to invest in a silver IRA or a gold IRA. However, they have not availed information on the fees incurred when purchasing from them.
What IRA custodians do they work with?
CGE does not act as a custodian for your IRA account. They have recommended a list of custodian companies they work with. However, this may demand extra costs in fees related to the services these partners provide.
The following is a list of custodian companies recommended by Certified Gold:
- Equity Trust Ph: (855) 233-4382 NewAccountsETC@TrustETC.com
- Strata Trust Ph: (866) 268-9218 NewAccounts@StrataTrust.com
- Madison Trust Company Ph: (800) 721-4900 Info@MadisonTrust.com

- IRA Financial Trust Ph: (800) 472-1043 info@irafinancialtrust.com
- uDirect IRA Ph: (888) 662-0869 info@uDirectIRA.com.
What are the fees?
The company has not availed of the prices for the sale of precious metals or the IRA rollover they offer. Obviously, there will (most likely) be different fees depending on what custodian they connect you to work with.
Important to mention here: is that you should ALWAYS make sure that you know exactly what fees you are going to have to pay before you sign anything. There are so many horror stories online of retirees getting surprised with so-called hidden fees they had no idea about until they showed up as an expensive surprise… What you want from a company is 100% transparency.

Can you sell back your precious metals?
Yes. They offer a buy-back program for the precious metals you purchase from them as well as precious metals from an IRA rollover.
How good is their support?
Considering their rankings and some of the reviews given, I would say the company’s customer support is excellent.
Is Certified Gold Exchange a Scam?
So, is it a scam? No. The company is not a scam but a legitimate gold dealership company. It has information on the real owners and a real physical address. The length of time the founders have been operating can be evidence of their legitimacy, as the company has been in operation since 1992.
However, we all know that all companies are the best according to themselves, right? I mean, there is not a single company that would call itself “second best, or “fifth best”, right?
So, if it is your best alternative out there is a whole other story, and that leads us to the part of the review where we look at what the most well-known and trusted, independent third-party consumer protection agencies have to say.

What can we make out of these results?
The company has managed to impress many of its clients with the available reviews. However, not all companies reviewing it have published their rating on their websites. The review for the trust link is tied to IRA gold. There is no direct review of the certified company exchange on the trust link site. Most of the reviewing companies on this list lack a direct review of the company. It’s difficult to make a conclusion from the information available.
Any complaints or red flags?
Even if I didn’t find any complaints on the main consumer watchdog sites I find it a bit strange that there was not a single review to be found from Trustpilot. I actually always put the most weight on Trustpilot as that is a platform where only real customers can leave their reviews and testimonials. So for a company that has been around since 1992, what´s the reason for zero reviews on Trustpilot?
Also, even if there were some “fresh” reviews to be found on the BBB website, ALL of the reviews found on Trustlink were over 10 years old, the latest ones are from 2012.
Not sure why there aren´t any recent reviews on Certified Gold Exchange on other sites than the BBB website, if you got a logical explanation to that then please feel free to tell us in the comment section below this post.
I have to say that the reviews found about CGE are all positive ones, however, they are not that many, and far from the number of reviews other gold firms have. Also, other firms got reviews across all the 5 major consumer protection agencies and not just from 2 of them.
As CGE claims on their website to be the #1 rated gold company in the industry…
My question is: based on what?
Because I can name at least 5 gold investment companies with hundreds of positive reviews only from Trustpilot, plus thousands of positive reviews combined if we include the other major consumer protection agencies…
Are there better alternatives out there?
My opinion is that there are better options. However, that is a decision that you, as an investor, should make on your own. Different investment needs require different modes of options. I propose doing thorough research keeping your investment needs in mind; out of your finding, you will be able to judge which alternative or company suits you.

Final words & Verdict
Verdict: Legit
Overall rating: (3.5 / 5)
Summary: I believe this sums up the review of CGE very well. It is a legitimate investment company focusing on supplying silver and gold products to various customers.
However, I missed certain information, the fee structure on precious metal purchases; there is no info on this on their website; there is also no info on the investment process. There were limited informative details concerning the specifics of the services they claim to offer.
So, a 3,5 out of 5 stars is my rating; for now, this can, of course, change to a higher or a lower one as we continuously review the company on this site. We will continue to offer new information on the company as it becomes available.
Ok, now what?
You are a smart person, I know that as you clearly understand the concept of researching and doing your due diligence. I wish that was the case with most people, unfortunately, many times it seems like it’s the opposite. However, I am absolutely sure that you will find the right company for your particular needs and that you feel comfortable doing business with. Just make sure to compare different alternatives instead of just jumping on the first shining object and you will be fine!
I hope you found this short review on Certified Gold Exchange to be helpful and that you now have a better overall view of the company. We have presented all the reviews we found, or at least the rating score of those reviews. Please share your own experience in the comment section below if you have used any of the CGE services as it can help others!
I wish you success!
