First Digital IRA Review – A New Scam or a Legit Company?

March 17, 2019 by Gold Retired Leave a Comment

Today’s we will look into First Digital IRA, which is a digital currency IRA provider. How does it work? What does it offer and is it worth considering? Are there better alternatives out there? Let’s get started and find out!

Company: First Digital IRA

Website: www.fdira.com

Owner: Unknown (Not a good sign)

Who is it for: People looking to invest in a digital currency IRA.

Overall rating: 1 out of 5 stars (1 / 5) Not recommended

========================================================

Important to mention before we go into more details of this review:

We always strongly recommend doing your research online before you choose a company to invest with. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed. The most common way people are getting scammed is through so-called “hidden-fees” so please investigate thoroughly before you make your decision.

With that being said, let´s continue with the review on First digital IRA!

First Digital IRA Review

Most people don’t think about digital currencies when considering what assets to hold in their IRA accounts. But the truth is, digital currencies can diversify your portfolio and offer you many benefits. As a matter of fact, many companies are starting to offer digital currency IRAs, including our top recommended companies.

About First Digital Ira:

Based in Burbank California, First Digital IRA is a digital IRA provider. It was founded in 2017 and employs 11-50 people. It’s safe to say this company is fairly new and still has a lot to prove.

Here’s its physical address: 3500 West Olive Ave, Suite 730
Burbank, CA 91505.

Gold Retired always makes sure to do all we can so you don’t fall for scams and suspicious companies. While investigating this company, I googled the address and surprisingly, it’s the same address as Birch Gold Group.

Birch Gold group already has a sister company that offers Digital currency IRAs: BitIRA.

So basically, Birch gold group has two sister companies that offer digital currency IRAs. Now that’s extremely suspicious, especially given the reputation Birch gold group has.

What you might want to know about First Digital IRA

Worth to mention here is that we have reviewed Birch Gold Group (sister company of First digital IRA) a while ago on this website and we do not recommend them as there are simply too many complaints on them.

Below is just one example of many:

You can read our full review, and see ALL of the complaints on them here on this page.

How do their digital currency IRAs work?

Digital currency IRAs are a great opportunity to make the most out of the multiple benefits of these currencies.

First digital IRA works with a custodian ( Kingdom trust company ) and offers Cryptocurrency retirement accounts. They explain how the process works on its website. Here’s an excerpt from the FDIRA website that talks about this

With your custodian selected, your Digital Currency Specialist at FDIRA will begin working to open your new retirement account. We will prepare all paperwork and collect required documentation from you, keeping your time and effort required as minimal as possible. With your final consent to proceed and the application is filed with Kingdom Trust Co., your new account will typically be ready in a few weeks or less.

IRAs offered?

This company offers self-directed digital currency IRAs that include the following as stated on their website:

Bitcoin, Ethereum & Ripple
– Transactions executed through one of our partner exchange platforms
– Multiple layers of wallet security with multi-sig verification
– Coin value can be viewed 24/7 in wallet

Additional Investment Options

Like we said earlier, your new account isn’t just limited to digital currencies. A Digital IRA can hold a long list of other approved investment types, including:

  • Stocks, bonds & mutual funds
  • Mortgages
  • Real estate
  • Raw land
  • Private businesses
  • Private loans
  • Precious metals

IRA fees?

First digital IRA is partnered with Kingdom trust company and doesn’t display IRA fees on its website.

P.S.

It’s never a good choice to invest with a company that doesn’t display fees on its site. It’s always crucial to stay away from this type of companies since they’re mostly known for rip-offs through “hidden fees”.

100% transparency is what you want from your IRA custodian.

Countries allowed?

The website also doesn’t include information about the countries First Digital IRA allows.

Online ratings, reviews, and complaints on First Digital IRA:

It’s always crucial to see what the top review sites have to say about a certain company before making your choice. Seeing what other customers think about a company can help you tremendously!

Here’s what the top review sites have to say about First digital IRA

BBB

Rating: N/A NOT Accredited by the BBB

Trustpilot

Rating: N/A

Trustlink

Rating: N/A

Yelp

Rating: N/A

The conclusion from this:

There is not a single review about First digital IRA on all the review sites. That’s not good at all. It’s true that this company is fairly new but it’s never a good option to choose to work with a company who has no reviews.

Final Words and Verdict

Verdict: Not recommended

Overall rating: 1 out of 5 stars (1 / 5)

Okay, I think that sums up everything about First Digital IRA. Hopefully, you know now what it is and why you should stay away from it.

With no reviews and no fees displayed on their website, you can never know if you’re going to be scammed by this company.

The awful reputation of birch gold group is also one more reason why you should NOT work with this Digital IRA provider.
