With that being said, let´s continue with the review on Northwest Territorial Mint!
What is Northwest Territorial Mint about?
Northwest Territorial Mint was established back in 1984 by Ross Hansen. Hansen is a well-recognized bullion dealer who is well-versed with the minting of precious metal products ( a skill that he has honed for more than 3 decades in the industry). He made his entry into the precious metal industry in 1981, as a 20-year-old businessman, by founding a company going by the name Auburn Precious Metals.
Before we go any further into this review, let us get one thing out of the way. If you are looking for Northwest Territorial Mint reviews, then you are likely to come across some telling you that it was rebranded to Ranger Industries. That is, however, not the truth since Ranger Industries LLC and Northwest Territorial Mint are totally different companies. Ranger Industries does not have any ties or links with Ross Hansen, the founder of Northwest Territorial Mint.
Northwest Territorial Mint went out of business, and Ranger Industries, LLC, had nothing to do with it. Ranger Industries, LLC is actually not a precious metal dealer and does not purchase or sell precious metal items as commodities. They are only known for offering silver as a material option in a range of their custom items which include belt buckles, key chains, challenge coins, etc.
Ranger Industries LLC
This company was founded more recently, in 2016, and actually had the pleasure of competing against Northwest Territorial Mint for about 2 years. When Northwest Territorial Mint (NWTM) declared bankruptcy in 2018, the court-appointed trustee went ahead to auction a variety of assets owned by NWTM. Ranger Industries LLC swooped in and bought NWTM’s custom minted designs, along with its intellectual property through the same auction.
Ranger Industries also bought the remaining NWTM non-precious metal online inventory that had been held for the purpose of distribution through their online platform.
What happened to Rob Hansen?
Rob Hansen, the CEO of NWTM, along with the company vault manager, were both indicted for fraud back in 2018. He was, at this point, charged with 20 federal felonies, which were linked to a scheme in which he managed to defraud customers of several million dollars. Whereas these are only allegations, it is known that he no longer has a role in NWTM and is not affiliated with the company in any way.

How does one purchase items from the online retail store?
Customers who want to purchase items from this company can do so by simply clicking on the “store” menu on their official website. You will be redirected to an ecommerce section that has all the items that are listed for sale. The good thing is that all items are presented in such a manner that you can easily view them, so finding what you need will not be that hard.
There is a search bar at the top right corner of the ecommerce page, which you can use to find the items that are hard to locate. Once you find your preferred item, you will only click on the “add to cart” button right below the item, then on the “view cart” button to begin the checkout process.
The checkout process simply involves the provision of your billing details and confirming that you have placed the right order.
The Payment Methods accepted
You can pay for the items you purchase using any of the accepted payment methods, which include :
- Credit Cards – Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club International.
- PayPal
Does it offer storage services?
No. If you purchase any items that need to be stored in a secure storage location, such as IRA precious metals, the owners of this company will refer you to a company known as GoldStar Trust Company. GoldStar Trust will present you with a fee structure for the storage of the items you intend to store so that you can pay separately.
GoldStar fee structure may not be the most affordable option for investors. Most of the storage companies in this space offer their services at a flat rate regardless of the value of an investor’s assets. With GoldStar, investors are bound to pay more since the total value of the precious metals held in one’s account is considered.
Note
GoldStar Trust Company happens to be a great company, with only one major downside. They use a sliding scale for the calculation of storage fees, which in my opinion is not the most sensible or affordable approach for investors. This does not imply that GoldStar Trust is a bad firm, or that their approach is wrong; it simply means that you will end up paying higher fees for holding investments of higher value.
Does It Offer IRA Services?
No. This company does not offer IRA services. It only stocks a wide variety of customizable memorabilia, and other precious metal products, which customers can access by paying them a visit at their physical stores or by simply placing their orders via the online platform. If you are in need of Gold IRA investment solutions, then you will have to look elsewhere.

Is Northwest Territorial Mint a Scam?
Before I respond to this question if it is a scam, I would like to state that I recognize the fact that Northwest Territorial Mint filed for bankruptcy, and that Rangers Industries LLC is delivering the services it used to provide to its customers previously. From the look of things, Rangers Industries LLC is a genuine company, as is evidenced by the ratings on consumer trust sites.
On Better Business Bureau, for instance, this company has an A+ rating, but it is unfortunately not accredited. There are, unfortunately, not many verified customer reviews about this company’s services, which is somehow understandable since they haven’t been around for long. It is, however, a major downside since the companies it is competing against have been around for a long, and they have tons of positive reviews online.
This is why I would advise that you take your time to research the various deals being offered online, to see if you are getting the best value for your money by either working with Rangers Industries LLC or its competitors.

Final Words and Verdict
Verdict: Legit
Overall Rating :
(3.9 / 5)
It is clear that NorthWest Territorial Mint is not operational, but there is a company that is acting on its behalf ( that purchased its inventory and intellectual property at the auction organized by the bankruptcy trustee), known as Rangers Industries.
Rangers Industries LLC has so far ensured that customers have access to a wide variety of products in many different categories and that they can rely on the easy-to-maneuver ecommerce platform to place their orders.
I am, however, concerned about the lack of customer reviews discussing the nature of its service offerings, as well as the lack of IRA services. Not forgetting that this company’s storage partner offers its services at very high rates, which is something that would inconvenience you if you are just getting started, or you are looking for ways to maximize your earnings.
