Important to mention before we continue with the review:
We always strongly recommend doing your research online before you choose a company to invest with. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed, especially when it comes to so-called “hidden fees”. So please investigate thoroughly before you make your decision.

What is Merit Gold – Overview
Merit Gold is a company that claims to be one of the biggest providers of physical gold and silver. The company was founded in 1986 by Peter Epstein. However, in 2014 the company had a consumer protection lawsuit filed against it by the Santa Monica Attorney’s office. They are out of business now and when you type meritgold.com you get redirected to a website called Goldline. Goldline offers precious metals coins and Gold IRAs.
Since Merit Gold is out of business I have chosen not to present any information about the company.
Are there any red flags?

Is Merit Gold Company A Scam?
When I did my research I found numerous reviews online where people complained about Merit Gold. The main complaints were that they had been in contact with pushy salesmen who tried to sell products that the customer wasn’t interested in. Another complaint was that it was hard to get in contact with the sales rep after the order was made. And a third common complaint was that the shipping time was too long.
Since the company website (Meritgold.com) seems to have changed the domain-name to (Goldline.com) and Merit Gold is no longer in business it is safe to assume that they can´t be trusted. If these companies are linked to each other it is best to stay away. Even though Goldline.com provides information and seems like a legit company I would think twice before doing business with them.
Are there better alternatives out there?
YES! There are a few ones I would consider better alternatives but the absolute best one I can recommend is; GOLDCO.
