Intro:

This article is a review of Agora Financial, in bid to establish whether it is a scam and if it is reliable. Answering some of the most crucial questions with regards to the existence of their objectives and what they deliver in the market place would be instrumental in making a valid conclusion. Some of the main questions that we can ask ourselves about Agora Financial include:

What is Agora Financial?

Agora Financial has established its position in the market as a privately held financial advisory publishing company that produces content that is useful to people in the financial world. The content this company produces is usually released in the form of print media, email newsletters, books, and conference reports. Those who qualify as this company’s clients usually rely on these publications as sound financial advice and most of them perceive it as being credible enough to influence their marketing decisions.

The company is run as a subsidiary of its mother company known as The Agora. Since it was founded in 1979 by Bill Bonner, Agora Financial has been in the business of serving its clients through its unique model. The company’s executive publisher is known as Addison Wiggin.

How does it work?

Agora Financial’s objective in the market is to equip investors with quality and verifiable investment research as well as investment services. This company, therefore, focuses on offering their publications that are tailored to their clients’ investment preferences in specific niches and industries.

Agora Financial does independent and unbiased research on various markets and sends out the compiled publications to their clients. The company relies on a team of experts to discover the latest trends and to advise their users about these trends.

How does one access the publications?

what is agora financialAgora Financial has established a system that enables them to retain their publications and only distributes them to those who need them, and are willing to reach out to them to make the acquisition. Which is why the process that their new clients’ follow is as follows:

  • Click on any publication you want in the “Publications” section on the main menu.
  • You will be redirected to a page that has a synopsis about that publication.
  • Reach out to Agora Financial through the telephone number indicated.
  • They will set up your Agora account and you will be provided with the login details.
  • You will also receive the payment terms for their service packages.
  • Access your account and start reading the content sent to you by Agora Financial.

Products and services offered?

This company offers its products and services in the form of publication packages. These publications are usually released on a periodical basis, and seek to give investors direction on the best areas to invest in. the product (service provision) model at Agora Financial is basically just that: availing financial advice through publications.

Agora Financial has three main packages, in the form of subscriptions, that their clients can pay for in order to access, as shown below:

  1. Silver –you get 2 eBooks, 3 reports and monthly newsletters.
  2. Gold –you get 2 Books, 3 reports, and printed issues sent to you on a monthly basis.
  3. Platinum –you get access to 2 Books, 3 reports, a bonus report, and monthly issues.

These service packages are priced as follows:

  • Silver -$49
  • Gold -$89
  • Platinum-$79

Is Agora Financial a Scam?

Agora Financial is not a scam, and so are the services it provides. There are many people who would object to this but there are a number of facts that would back up their credibility. For one, this company has been in existence since 1979, since it was founded by Bill Bonner. Bill Bonner’s background in writing financial publications was pertinent in the establishment of the company’s service model. Addison Wiggin, the company’s executive publisher is also has a wealth of knowledge in this specific line of financial advisory.

This company also has several reviews on profiling and online-site review websites, including the popular Bloomberg (https://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapid=28628851) and Crunch Base (https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/agora-financial). The company has a verifiable working model and it has made it known that it does not rely on insider trading information to serve its clients.

In addition to that, the company has different reviews on sites such as Glassdoor and Trust Pilot. Clients have given different reviews about Agora Financial, but this is characteristic of what happens with other companies as they are trying to serve their clients.

There will (most likely) always be satisfied and unsatisfied clients, and the negative reviews do not mean that the company is a scam.

However, if the negative ones start to be a bit too many you might want to look at other alternatives instead…

Investment opportunities?

If you are out to earn money through receiving information that will help you make better investment decisions, then you should consider relying on the service packages offered by Agora Financial. The company does not take your money and invest it for you, so you have to make the move yourself. It, therefore, does not offer you investment opportunities, but it helps you to take up investment opportunities.

Pros and Cons

It is always wise (and recommended) to compare the positive sides against the negative ones before you decide if something is for you or not. As always in our reviews we provide you with some clear points on both sides of the spectrum:

Pros

  • The company provides clients with information regularly, which provides clients with the opportunity to diversify their portfolio of investments.
  • The company has been in business since 1979, hence is trustworthy.
  • It has a valid service provision model.

Cons

  • The process involved in acquiring the publications as a first time client is cumbersome.
  • Some of the information Agora Financial provides to clients is at times not accurate (https://agora-financial.pissedconsumer.com/review.html ).
  • Not very good reputation online

Do you own or represent Agora Financial?

Other alternatives with a better reputation?

There are many newsletters that will provide you with similar services, and trading alerts, financial advice, etc. I have listed many of them on this website, however, the absolute best one I can recommend would have to be Capitalist Exploits as it has a completely flawless reputation, 5-star ratings from their clients, and their FREE service is actually better than many others that you have to pay for.

Bill Bonner runs a scam outfit called Agora Inc. that has become notorious for defrauding people of all ages (but especially senior citizens) through an avalanche of emails and devious front organizations. He will steal personal information, sign people up for “newsletters” without their consent, and his staff will fraudulently charge customer credit cards (with the idea that the person will never be able to trace it back to Agora Inc.)

He has absolutely devoured one of my neighbors that I care for, my friend Carl. Carl was a Marine in WWII and is a great family friend of mine. Somehow, Bill Bonner and Agora Inc. got ahold of his credit card details and they’ve absolutely picked him clean over the past few years. I’ve been trying to get the fraudulent charges removed but haven’t been able to as of yet. Agora Inc. utilizes this strategy as a business plan.

I would think that, reasonably speaking, defrauding senior citizens shouldn’t be a business plan!

Hi there, first of all, thank you for sharing your experience with us,

it will help others and most likely have them to think twice about getting involved.

Share your thoughts on their “marketing strategy” with endless e-mails, that was the biggest nono for us when we reviewed Agora, but didn´t know they would do such nasty things as you describe, very conserning indeed.

Really hope your friend get some justice in this, please feel free to come back here and tell us how the whole “soup” evolves.

Thank you again for your comment!

      /Sincerely
