What is Atkinsons Bullion? – A brutally honest review!

May 2, 2019 by Eric Leave a Comment

Hello and welcome to another Gold Retired Review! Today we’ll be investigating a precious metals dealer: Atkinsons Bullion. What is Atkinsons Bullion? What are the products and services it offers? Can you sell it back to this company or store it? How does it rank compared to our #1 Recommended solution?

Let’s get started and find out!

Company: Atkinsons BullionAtkinsons Bullion

Website: www.atkinsonsbullion.com

Owner: The Atkinson Family

Who is it for? People who would like to invest in precious metals.

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5) Not recommended

Essential to mention (before we go into more details of this review)

We strongly recommend doing your research online before choosing a company to invest in. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly and compare different alternatives before you make your decision.

One example: 99.9% of companies got “pushy” salespeople trying to stress you into acting fast.

Here is the thing, the #1 Recommended Gold & Silver IRA Dealer on our top-5 list got No-salesy representatives… So they won´t bother or terrorize you with phone calls.

You are an intelligent person, so I am sure that you understand the benefits of dealing with such a company instead, right?

+They got a couple more benefits you might appreciate as much as I do. You will understand yourself once you have visited the page (link) above.

With that being said, let´s continue with the review on Atkinsons Bullion!

What is Atkinsons Bullion?

Based in Birmingham, UK, and founded in the 1990s ( there is no information about the exact foundation date of this company ), Atkinson Bullion is a British, family-owned precious metals dealer. This company started selling gold online in 2010 and offers a variety of products to choose from, which we’ll be discovered later.

This company mainly caters to people who want to own small amounts of precious metals.

Here’s a screenshot of the physical address of this company:

What are the products and services offered?

Atkinsons Bullion offers precious metals in gold and silver. This company does NOT offer palladium or platinum coins and bars, which is a shame. It does offer some great looking bars and coins in gold and silver, though, here are some examples:

What is Atkinsons Bullion

It’s important to note that the pricing of these coins is in Pound Sterling which might be confusing for non-British citizens.

Does it offer IRAs?

Atkinsons Bullion is NOT an IRA custodian. This company is just a precious metals dealer, and there is no information on their website about whether they include IRA-eligible precious metals in their products. I honestly recommend going for a company that both provides the precious metals and the IRAs to avoid all the hassle and problems that could take place, such as purchasing precious metals that turn out to be not IRA-eligible.

Can you store with the company?

Well, yes, and no. Atkinsons Bullion explains the classic storage options available, and according to their website, only” In some cases Atkinsons can offer its customers bespoke secure storage solutions.”

This company also emphasizes getting professional advice on storing your precious metals safely.

This would oblige investors to seek other solutions for storing their precious metals safely.

Our #1 Recommended company offers safe storage in highly-secured vaults in different locations you can choose from. Read more about it here!

Can you sell back to the company?

Whether you bought your precious metals from Atkinsons Bullion or not, you can sell back to them. Here’s a screenshot from their website that displays the steps you must go through to complete the selling process:

Can you get the precious metals delivered home?

Of course, Atkinsons Bullion is a precious metals dealer and offers delivery on all orders. They didn’t include whether you can deliver the precious metals you might store with them to your home.

Countries allowed? ( International delivery )

Atkinsons Bullion supports international delivery. Here’s an excerpt from this company’s website explaining the process:

An International Expression of Interest is a service that lets us know that you would like to place an order for delivery, outside of the UK. This is automatically triggered at checkout when entering an international delivery address.

Payments must be made only through bank transfer when it comes to fees, which is unfortunate.

What about online ratings and reviews?

It’s always highly recommended to go through any company’s online reviews and ratings before making your decision. These reviews sometimes contain some red flags that you should consider. Furthermore, comparing the reviews of the two companies and the accreditations they have can also guide you through your investment journey and help you find your best match.

Here’s what the top review websites have to say about Atkinsons Bullion:

Conclusion:

Atkinsons Bullion has promising reviews on Trustpilot, but that’s about it! These reviews are great, but the lack of reviews on the other review websites makes this company fall behind compared to competitors, with more reviews spread across all the top review websites.

Final Words and Verdict

Verdict: Legit

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

Okay, that’s everything that could be said about Atkinsons Bullion. Overall, this company might be a good option for people who want to buy small amounts of precious metals. But, looking in other directions is a better option for people looking to include precious metals in their investment portfolio. This company does not offer secure storage, nor does it offer IRAs.

So, What IRA company do we recommend?

You made a wise decision to read this review, and you are an intelligent person. I am sure that you will find the right company that suits your needs the best. I would advise you to compare different alternatives against each other before you decide. Below you got my absolute #1 recommended IRA custodian:
