Today we take a closer look at Goldline. What is Goldline? A Scam or is it a legit company? Will it be the best choice for you or should you look elsewhere? These are some of the questions this short review will focus on. Ok, here we go!
Price: Depends on your investment
Who is it for: People looking to invest in precious metals
Overall rating: (2 / 5)
Important to mention before we go into more details of this review:
You have made a smart chooice reading this review. We always strongly recommend to do your research online before you choose a company to invest with. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped of and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly before you make your decision.
With that being said, let´s continue with the review on GoldLine!
What is GoldLine about?
Goldline is offering the service of purchasing physical gold and other precious metals, a service that they, are not alone with providing. Just like hundreds, if not thousands of similar online companies that you can find online (if you search for them).
How does it work?
To be honest, this is the thing that I like the most with their site, it was very easy to use and clear to understand and I have seen many times on other sites that provide (more or less) the same services with VERY “hard to navigate” impression on their site. But it was actually very clear to understand looking site compared to quite many of its competitors, to be honest. Goldline have a very easy to understand and navigate on looking site without all of the “noise” and it makes up for a, at least online, better user experience. (see screenshot below)
Above is an example of a simple menu on the www.goldline.com website.
The products they have are precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, and palladium in different forms.
Yes, they offer precious metal IRAs. However, if you are interested in IRAs then I would strongly recommend checking out this company named Regal Assets instead as they are completely dominating the industry, especially when it comes to IRAs
Can you get the gold (and other metals) delivered to your home?
Yes, you can.
Can you store your investment with the company?
No, you can not store your investment directly with the company, however, they offer you insured storage of precious metals through independent third-party depositories.
Can you sell back to the company?
You can find this exact text on GoldLines website:
Goldline makes selling your precious metals easy!
Our commitment to providing a fast, safe and easy two-way market is just one of our many commitments in the Goldline Difference. Although the law prohibits us from guaranteeing a buyback, Goldline has a long-standing history of repurchasing the metals it sells. And, what’s more, we often purchase precious metals from people whose own gold dealers refuse to buy. Of course, our highest bid prices are reserved for our clients.
It just takes three simple steps to sell your metals:
- Call Goldline at 800-963-9798. Or you can email your list of products to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Once we have indicated our interest to purchase your precious metals, send them to our office where they will be filmed, catalogued and counted. Our Client Service Representatives will provide detailed shipping instructions prior to shipping your products to Goldline, including appropriate insurance so your shipment is protected (Goldline cannot be responsible for loss or damage in transit).
- Once your precious metals are received and authenticated, we will notify you of our purchase price and confirm your liquidation with one of our Client Service Representatives. We will issue payment, minus a small 1% liquidation fee, within three business days of confirmation.
Please keep in mind that we only buy precious metals coins and bars. We DO NOT buy jewelry or any other precious metals that are not in a coin or bar form.
Can anybody in any country use the service?
No, their services are only for people living in the USA.
Is GoldLine a scam?
So, is GoldLine a scam or not? Well, it is a question that has been up on the wall now for some time, to say the least. Just look at the video below:
Important to mention here is that the video is 7 years old. That leads us to the question, is GoldLine, still called a scam from many directions?
Well, a quick Google search showed me, to be honest, many, fast.
There are more than one complaints on them online, to say the least, below are the exact words from a “not so happy” user of their service:
I did not buy from Goldline, the only reason there are any stars in this review is because I was required to input some value. I contacted GL about ordering 100 Silver Eagles and 1/10 oz. Gold Eagles. They wanted 42.00 dollars per Silver Eagle when everyone else was asking 35-36 dollars. For the 1/10 oz. Gold Eagle, they wanted 260.00 per coin when other sites were asking 190-195. When I asked the sales rep why so much over spot, he replied something to the effect of “we are not the cheapest, there plenty of sites that sell cheaper gold and silver, the higher premium reflects the value and guaranteed service GL provides”. His actual sales pitch was a lot longer, and seemed to make sense, (for about 5 seconds) until I realized gold would have to hit about 2600.00 per oz. just to break even.
The only Guarantee I could be sure of was, I was going to pay $700.00 to $800.00 more for the privilege of ordering from Goldline………….NO THANK YOU!!
How´s the support?
Well, they have the same support that most similar sites in their niche have in common, they lack only a live-chat on the website. Other than that you have the usual, email and a phone nr.
Why You Should (Or Should NOT) pick GoldLine?
Well, as always this choice is up to you, however, I have to say that there is not much, if any at all I feel that I should recommend GoldLine, in a top 10 list even.
Final Words and Verdict on GoldLine
Verdict: NOT Recommended
Overall rating: (2 / 5)
Ok, even if we found some pretty negative things on them online we still have to be fair and real here, it is legit. On the other hand I strongly feel that we have to be fair and real against all, so therefore I cannot close my eyes to the many complaints, so please at least do a bit more of research before you jump on the first best offers, as there are many out there and some are out to rip you off!
I hope you found this short review of GoldLine to be helpful and now you should have a better understanding of what it is and if it is something for you or not. If you have used any of its services please share your experience with us in the comment section below. Also, if you got any other questions about this post I would be more than happy to answer them!
I wish you success!
