What is Hard Assets Alliance, a Scam? | Warning Flags Found!

December 13, 2018 by admin 4 Comments

Today we will take a look at Hard Assets Alliance for you. What is The Hard Assets Alliance? A Scam or a legit investment option for you? How do they match up against their competitors? Are there better alternatives out there? These are some of the questions this short review will focus on.

Company: Hard Assets Alliancehard assets alliance review

Website: www.hardassetsalliance.com

Owner: Not mentioned on the website (bad sign) read further down

Price: Depends on your investment

Who is it for? Precious metals investors, retirees

Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

Important to mention (before we go into more details of this review)

We strongly recommend doing your research online before choosing a company to invest in. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly and compare different alternatives before you make your decision.

One example: 99.9% of companies got “pushy” salespeople trying to stress you into acting fast.

Here is the thing, the #1 Recommended Gold & Silver IRA Dealer on our top-5 list got No-salesy representatives… So they won´t bother or terrorize you with phone calls.

You are a smart person, so I am sure that you understand the benefits of dealing with such a company instead, right?

+They got a couple more benefits you might appreciate as much as I do. You will understand yourself once you have visited the page (link) above.

==> See our Top-5 List of Precious Metals IRA Companies on this page <==

With that being said, let´s continue with the review on Hard Assets Alliance!

What is Hard Assets Alliance about?

Hard Assets Alliance was founded in 2012 by independent financial researchers. There is no information on their website on who the owner (or CEO) is… When you look at their about page, they have a button where you can see “the members,” but when clicking on it, instead of seeing faces of CEOs and Vice Presidents, you get to know some different companies and cooperations:

What is Hard Assets Alliance?2I asked the question in their live chat, and this is the answer I got:

As far as ownership goes, our previous owner was Olivier Garret, but earlier this year, he has since sold the company to Gold Bullion Inc.

P.S. When I searched for “Gold Bullion Inc” on Google, no company with that name came up… It might be that the live chat person wrote wrong and meant Gold Bullion International?

When researching some more on their website, we found that the company’s physical address is 750 Third Ave, Suite 702, New York, NY 10017. We did not find Hard Assets Alliance there but Instead Gold Bullion International (GBI) so seems that is what the live chat representative meant ater all.

The Products

The products offered to you by the company are the precious metals (in the form of coins and bars) below:

  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Platinum
  • Palladium

Are IRAs offered?

Yes, they offer gold IRA solutions to their customers.

IRA fees?

When I asked in the live chat about their IRA fees, this is the answer I got:

Our IRA’s are handled by our custodian Millennium Trust. They deal with paperwork and handling of the account themselves, we handle the metal portion.

Important to mention here:

I have recently reviewed Millennium Trust, and I can confidently say that their fees are not really among the best out there… to say it in a nice way…

To make a long story short: The Millennium Trust Company got A LOT of complaints from its clients, mainly on the fee structure and on so-called hidden fees. This is something that some of its competitors do differently as many of them not only waive the first year’s fee (or even the first 3 years) and also take care of the fee for you in the future, so you don´t have to think about it every year yourself. Click the link below for my #1 recommendation.

Can anybody in any country use the service?

You do not have to be a US citizen to open a Hard Assets Alliance account. However, US regulations require that Hard Assets Alliance establish the identity of all account holders, whether or not they are US citizens.

restricted OFAC-sanctioned countries:

Afghanistan, Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Liberia, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Myanmar, Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, and Zimbabwe, as well as other individuals specifically sanctioned.

Is Hard Assets Alliance a scam?

So, is Hard Assets Alliance a scam? No, I would not think it is a scam. However, there is hard to find a real address and the confusing owner question is something that might be warning signs… So if it is your best alternative out there to invest with is another story…

Before making any decision, what is always wise to do is to look at what the most well-known and trusted indepenedent 3rd party consumer protection agencies have to say about the particular company you are interested in. As always in our reviews, we provide you with their results (with clickable links if possible):

That leads us to the following:

Hard Assets Alliance reviews, ratings & complaints

BBB (Better Business Bureau)

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars (1 / 5) (out of 2 reviews) NOT an accredited business by the BBB click for details (opens in new window)

Trustpilot

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5) (out of 43 reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)

BCA (Business Consumer Alliance)

Rating: N/A

Trustlink

Rating: N/A

Yelp

Rating: N/A

Are there any red flags?

As you clearly can see above, The Hard Assets Alliance is NOT an accredited business by the most well-known and trusted BBB and that is obviously not a good sign.

Even if they got an above average overall rating on Trustpilot there are not many reviews and ratings to be found online… at all… That can (in my opinion) be a warning sign as you have no references to look at… It does not have to mean anything bad, but why risk it, right?

Important to mention here:

Some companies got only positive reviews on all 5 of the most well-known independent 3rd party consumer protection agencies above, and some of them with HUNDREDS of (positive) reviews as well:

How´s the support?

Something I always put a lot of weight on when it comes to the quality of a company’s support system is whether they got a live chat function on their website.

Does Hard Assets Alliance have this? Yes, they do, which is a plus (at least in my book). They also got the ordinary e-mail and phone support for you to contact them with your questions.

The pros and cons

I would always recommend you to do before doing business with a company to compare its positive sides against its negative ones to get a better overall view. As always in our reviews, you are provided with some obvious points on both sides of the spectrum to make this job easier for you:

The Good

  • Accepts Bitcoin payments
  • Live chat on the website

The Bad

  • The “no owner” issue
  • The “no address” issue
  • Not an accredited business by BBB
  • Not many reviews and ratings from its clients to be found online

Do You Own or Represent Hard Assets Alliance?

If you are a representative or associate of Hard Assets Alliance and have found something not to be correct in this review, please, feel free to tell, and I will make sure to update the info on this post. The easiest way to do it is in the comment section below, or by simply sending us an e-mail to contact@goldretired.com

Final Words and Verdict on Hard Assets Alliance

Verdict: Legit

Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5) (Not Recommended)

Ok, now we have pointed out some pros and cons, and you now have a better picture of this company. It is a legit one, I would say. However, I cannot recommend it due to the “question marks” I have written about in this review.

Of course, whether it will be your pick or not is up to you. Hopefully, this review has made your choice a bit easier to perform.

You have made a smart choice reading this review. It is always recommended that you do your research and compare many different companies to avoid hidden fees and find the policy of a company that resonates with you.

Please do your due diligence before you invest, for example, they charge 15$/quarter, which is 60$ annually. AND THEIR SUPPORT TEAM REAL BAD. SORRY TO SAY. IF YOU ASK TWO QUESTIONS THEY WILL ANSWER ONLY ONE AND THAT TOO VERY LETHARGIC IN THEIR ATTITUDE. But GoldSilver.com charges less comparatively and also has an option for zero storing fee until some dates up to June 2020. PLUS THEY HAVE PREMIUM AGAINST YOUR STORED GOLD, THIS IS HIDDEN INCOME. Check out GoldSilver.com I am changing from HAA to GoldSilver.com As a stock investor, I need liquidity of my money which is crucial in time like this and for the next 18 months.
