Today we will take a look at LEXI Capital for a review. What is LEXI Capital? A scam or a legit precious metals dealer? Something for you or not? Are there better alternatives out there? These are some of the main questions this short review will focus on. Ok, here we go!
Company: LEXI Capital
Website: www.LEXICapital.com
Owner: Not mentioned on their website
Price: Requires a minimum investment of $1,500
Who is it for? People that want to invest in gold or other precious metals
Overall rating: (3.9 / 5)
Essential to mention (before we go into more details of this review)
We strongly recommend doing your research online before choosing a company to invest in. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly and compare different alternatives before you make your decision.
One example: 99.9% of companies got “pushy” salespeople trying to stress you into acting fast.
Here is the thing, the #1 Recommended Gold & Silver IRA Dealer on our top-5 list got No-salesy representatives… So they won´t bother or terrorize you with phone calls.
You are an intelligent person, so I am sure that you understand the benefits of dealing with such a company instead, right?
+They got a couple more benefits you might appreciate as much as I do. You will understand yourself once you have visited the page (link) above.

With that being said, let´s continue with the review on LEXI Capital!
What is LEXI Capital about?
LEXI Capital is a well-known precious metals dealer that was founded in 2010.
The physical address of the company is: 310 S Harrington St, Raleigh, NC 27601
Like other similar companies, you can buy precious metals in different forms from the company.
The Products
The products offered by LEXI Capital are coins and bars in the form of gold and silver. When looking at their collection, you can see that it is a bit “thin” compared to some competitors. Also, you can not buy platinum and palladium from LEXI, something that most of its peers offer.
IRAs?
Yes, IRAs are available with the company. Below is the exact text from their website on the subject:
Lexi Capital has an exclusive IRA establishment partnership with SDIRA Services Inc for all traditional and Roth precious metals backed IRA’s. Lexi Capital serves as the government-mandated 3rd party dealer of record for transactions. Because of our volume, we have established preferred dealer pricing, which we pass on to our clients, offering a $0 fee IRA on new accounts funded with $15,000 or more. ABOUT SDIRA Services Inc. Self Directed IRA Services, Inc. (SDIRA Services) was founded in 2008 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Horizon Bank. SDIRA Services provides administration and custody of alternative and traditional assets in self-directed IRAs for individuals and small businesses nationwide. We specialize in allowing a wide range of investment vehicles within Traditional, Roth, SEP, and SIMPLE IRA accounts, including real estate, trust deeds, mortgages, tax liens, precious metals, promissory notes, closely-held stocks, REITs, private limited partnerships, limited liability companies and more.

Can you get the gold (and other metals) delivered to your home?
This is only mentioned in the “FAQ section” on their website and (in my opinion) not very clear or detailed. Below I provide the exact text from their website on the subject:
Lexi Capital orders are shipped Registered/Insured U.S. Mail and Federal Express. Each package is fully insured and may require a signature upon delivery. Packages sent registered and insured mail can take 5-10 business days. The parcel’s registration number is only available to trace a package if it hasn’t been received within 30 days from the date shipped. Tracking numbers are not provided to customers due to insurance restrictions
It is not allowed to store IRA gold at home, so if you was wondering about that it is good to know that it is not an option at least.
Can you store your investment with the company?
This is also something that is not clear at all on their website, however, we are going to assume that they at least arrange some storage alternative for IRAs.
Can you sell back to the company?
This is also not mentioned (at all) on their website.
**You get a “highest price buy back guarantee” from this company
Can anyone in any country Invest?
Once again, this is not mentioned on their website. However, in the FAQ section where they talk about shipping costs, they only speak about the costs and time in the US.
Is LEXI Capital a Scam?
So, is LEXI Capital a scam? No, it is not a scam. It is a legit company, it got an overall good reputation online, and it would (most likely) not have survived since 2010 if it wasn´t, right?
However, if they are your best alternative out there or not is a whole other story, that leads os to the reviews on LEXI to be found on the most well-known and trusted independent third party consumer protection agencies, what do they got to say?
LEXI Capital Reviews & Complaints:
Below are some of the most critical rating/review sites’ overall scores on the company:
BCA
Rating: AAA (out of 0 reviews?) click here for details (opens in new window)
BBB
Rating: A + (out of 0 reviews?) click here for details (opens in new window)
TrustLink
Rating: (5 / 5) (out of 3 reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)

Ripoff Report
Rating: N/A
Trustpilot
Rating: Not listed (might be a bad sign)
Important to mention here: Even if the reviews are positive, they are not that many… I also find it a bit concerning that there are nothing on the Trustpilot site to be found on Lexi as that site is the one I normally put most weight on. The reason for that is that only real customers can leave reviews there after they have done business with a particular company. I also find it a bit weird that Lexi got top ratings on BBB and BCA but without any reviews there? What´s going on?
The red flags:
The red flags I want to address the most is the fact that:
- I found their website to be a bit hard to navigate on and find the info you want
- There are not that many reviews online on them, even if the ones to be found are positive. It still feels like the company is a bit “new/inexperienced,” which could be a reason for you to pick another one.

How´s the support?
Like its competitors, LEXI Capital has a phone number you can call, an e-mail address, and a physical address.
However, one thing they lack is a live chat function on their site that takes the rating down a bit on their support to you.
PROs & CONs
The Good
- Pretty good IRA terms
- Overall good reputation
The Bad
- New/unexperienced company
- “Thin” collection of precious metals
- Their website is a bit “hard” to navigate on
- No live chat
- Very few reviews online

Final Words and Verdict on LEXI Capital
Verdict: Legit
Overall rating: (3.5 / 5)
I think I have made my point pretty clear on this one. It is a legit company and also a good one. However, there are some red flags and a lack of info on this “new” company in the business. Therefore the rating of 3,5 (closer to 4) out of 5 feels like a fair one. This can, of course, change in the future to either a higher one… Or a lower one. For now, it feels right to give that rating, though.
For now, it feels right to give that rating, though.
It is imperative to review many companies before deciding on one to go with, so you have made a wise choice reading this review.
As always, the choice is up to you.

I still have my reservations that LEXI CAPITAL is not a scam due to some missing information on their website. At best they appear to be unprofessional and careless about their website and at worst they are scamers that forgot to pay attention to detail. Either ways, i am not investing a penny in this company till i can put a face to its owners. It is more risky to invest in a firm that is possibly a fraud than to invest in commodities through random selection style
Have to agree, wouldn´t invest in a company that lacks this much in transparency.
