What is Lincoln Coin & Bullion – A Scam or a Legit Gold Dealer?

November 9, 2017 by admin 2 Comments

Today we look at Lincoln Coin & Bullion. What is Lincoln Coin & Bullion? A scam or a legit gold dealer? How do they match up against their competitors? Are there better alternatives out there for you? These are some of the questions this short review will focus on.

Company: Lincoln Coin & Bullionlincoln coin & bullion review

Website: www.lincolncoinandbullion.com

Owner:Patrick Moran & Lance Nelson

Price: Depends on the size of your investment

Who is it for? Precious metals investors

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

Important to mention (before we go into more details of this review)

We strongly recommend doing your research online before choosing a company to invest in. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly and compare different alternatives before you make your decision.

One example: 99.9% of companies got “pushy” salespeople trying to stress you into acting fast.

Here is the thing, the #1 Recommended Gold & Silver IRA Dealer on our top-5 list got No-salesy representatives… So they won´t bother or terrorize you with phone calls.

You are a smart person, so I am sure that you understand the benefits of dealing with such a company instead, right?

+They got a couple more benefits you might appreciate as much as I do. You will understand yourself once you have visited the page (link) above.

With that being said, let´s continue with the review on Lincoln Coin & Bullion!

What is Lincoln Coin & Bullion about?

Lincoln Coin & Bullion, Inc is a gold dealer company. It was founded in 2006 by its owner Scott Olson.

The physical address of the company is: 3534 S 48th St # 4, Lincoln, NE 68506, USA

What is Lincoln Coin & Bullion? How does it work?

In short, this is a company where you can either buy or sell precious metal coins and bars.

The Products

The products offered include gold, silver, platinum, and palladium coins and bars in different models, including Numismatic coins.

They have a broad range of different products, all of them listed on their website.

IRAs?

Lincoln Coin & Bullion doesn´t offer precious metal IRAs as there is nothing mentioned about this topic on their website. Even if some of their broad range of bullion includes both IRA eligible gold and IRA eligible silver.

Also, there is no partner IRA custodians listed on their website.

Can you get the gold (and other metals) delivered to your home?

There is no info on this topic on their website. You can (most likely) assume that it is possible to get your precious metals delivered to you as many of its peers provide that service.

However, there is no info on the shipping policy and associated fees, so you will have to ask them about this first if you decide to buy from Lincoln C&B.

Can you store your investment with the company?

Once again, there is no info on their site about this. Again, as it doesn´t seem as Lincoln Coin & Bullion provide IRA services there is no need to store with the company, as you can not store IRA gold at home anyway as it is´t simply not allowed.

Can you sell back to the company?

Yes, you can. There is not much info on this process, though. However, we managed to find this exact text on their site:

Yes. We are specialists in precious metals. We buy and sell all precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, and palladium) in coins, bars, scrap gold jewelry, dental gold, sterling flatware, etc. We do not buy items that are gold or silver plated over base metals..

Can anybody in any country use the service?

Once again, there is not much info on this on their website. However, I would be surprised if they offer its services outside the U.S.

Is Lincoln Coin & Bullion a Scam?

So, is Lincoln Coin & Bullion a scam? No, it is not a scam. Of course not. It would never have survived this long (founded in 2006) if it wasn´t. It also got a real owner and a real physical address.

However, if they are your best alternative is another story… That leads us to the following:

Lincoln Coin & Bullion Reviews, Ratings & Complaints

Below I will provide the ratings and complaints from some of the most well-known and trusted review and rating sites online so you can get a better overall picture:

BCA (Business Consumer Alliance)

Any Red Flags?red flag on Lincoln Coin & Bullion

The independent 3rd party consumer protection agency that I always put the most weight on when it comes to their rating score is Trustpilot. The reason for that is because only real customers of a particular product or service can leave a testemonial or review there. I find it a bit weird that Lincol coin & Bullion is nowhere to be found on the Trustpilot site.

Yes sure, they got a 5 star rating from both BBB and BCA, but only from a couple of reviews. As you clearly can see above, there are not many reviews on the company online to be found.

This is (in my humble opinion) the biggest red flag as it is very strange that there is only one review from a real user on them.

Compared to most of its peers, it is a ridiculously low amount as many got hundreds, and in some cases even thousands of reviews from real users, and in some cases mostly positive ones as well.

How´s the support?

One thing that I always put a lot of importance on when it comes to the quality of a company’s support system is whether they got a live chat function on their website.

Lincoln C&B does not have this, and that is a minus (at least in my book)

They offer the “mandatory” e-mail address and phone number to contact them with your questions or concerns.

Lincoln Coin & Bullion PROs & CONs

To get a better overall picture of a company, one thing that is always good to do is to compare its pros against its cons.

Below I have highlighted some obvious points to make this job easier for you:

The GoodLincoln Coin & Bullion pros

  • Offers a broad range of coins and bars
  • in business since 2006

The BadLincoln Coin & Bullion cons

  • VERY few reviews on them online
  • The website lacks in support and info
  • Don´t offer any IRA services

Do you Own or Represent Lincoln Coin & Bullion?

If you are a representative or associate of Lincoln Coin & Bullion and have found something not to be correct in this review, please, feel free to tell, and I will make sure to update the info on this post. The easiest way to do it is in the comment section below, or else you get the e-mail on the about page.

Final Words and Verdict on Lincoln Coin & Bullion

Verdict: Legit

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

Ok, I think that sums the overall picture up pretty well for now. This is a legit company, yes.

However, because it got so few reviews (close to none) online and the website lacks info, I cannot give a higher rating than 3,2 stars out of 5.

So, 3,5 stars it is, and it feels fair for now.

It can change to a higher or lower one in the future as the reviews on this website are getting updated as soon as some “news” on a company comes up.

Gold RetiredYou have made a smart choice reading this review as it is always recommended that you research and compare many different companies against each other before making an educated decision.

I am sure that you will find an IRA custodian that is right for you as you clearly (as you have read this far) understand this concept.

Which Company Do We Recommend?

If you are looking for a reputable gold IRA custodian besides any other company, you should check out Augusta Precious Metals.

They have ZERO complaints from A LOT of real users. They are used by conservative legends respected by well-known publications and websites.

I am considering investing in precious metal and heard Silver is running low and has a huge potential to increase in value. Your article educated me on the importance to do my research before selecting a dealer. If Lincoln Gold and Bullion is not a scam and has a good BBB rating why wouldn’t I consider them? Is Regal Assets the best dealer in the country? Finally, do you think Silver’s value will increase in the near future? Thanks

Yes, I have heard a lot of reports on that also and when you look on what rich people (many times equals people who know how to manage their finances) you can clearly see a pattern that most are investing in silver for the moment.

Well, the reason why you might want to consider another company is to get lower fees, better support, etc.

Yes, I think Regal Assets are in a division by its own.

      Hope that helps!

Thank you again for your comment!

      /Sincerely
