I had a bait-and-switch pulled by Nationwide today. But, the guy (Corey) was smooth and vert good. Instead of getting what I originally ordered, he convinced me to buy something else that I now find out is way overpriced.

I’m don’t think this is a scam. They’ll deliver the coins in the advertisement. They did it twice for me, once at my home and another time at the business. Can’t be a bait and switch if they will deliver the advertised product.
Doesn’t sound like to many people are happy with some of the other coins they sell.

Problem that I have is a total lack of response from management staff. I went to Nationwide because of an advertisement in the VFW magazine. Made contact with several agents who “promised” me that if needed I could sell coins that I had purchased back to the company at the price that I paid for them. Not only did I find this to be totally false but the company apparently does not want to buy them back at any price. And on research I found that the merchandise was grossly overpriced to begin with. I am totally disatisfied with the service that I have received.

Thank you Larry; I saw the advertisement in VFW magazine too.
I’ve read your article on numismatics and can’t believe that people are putting their retirement in collectible coins. It would be the same as taking your nest egg and buying baseball cards. Maybe if you know a lot about coins put some of your hobby money in it if you like coins. I know nothing about collectible coins and have never bought one.
I do know a little about gold and silver and have been buying it since gold dropped to $1,100.00 a couple of years ago. I’ve bought quite a bit of it from Nationwide Coins. They’ve done well by me small percent above spot prices. They’ve always delivered. I think if you stick with bullion you’ll probably be just fine with this company.
By the way you have them as a N/A under Trustpilot rating. They actually have a 8.7 out of 10 rating. Looks like they can be a little slow on shipping sometimes.

Natinowide sold my Father-in-law over 65,000 in coins that are valued at under 20,000. He was in his final stages of kidney failure and struggling with coherant thoughts. I think that they fully took advantage of a sick and dying man. I have contacted them multiple times trying to sell the coins back to them. I have gotten the run-around from them every time. It is really sad that this happened to our family.
