Company: Next Generation Trust Company
Website: www.nextgenerationtrust.com
Owner / primary contact: Jaime Raskulinecz (CEO)
Overall rating: (4 / 5)
Recommended: Depends (see further down)
Important to mention (before we go into more details of this review)
We always strongly recommend doing your own research online before you choose a company to invest with. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly and compare different alternatives before you make your decision.
One example: 99.9% of companies got commissioned salespeople.
Here is the thing, the #1 Recommended Gold & Silver IRA Dealer on our top-5 list got a No-commission salesfloor… So they got ZERO reason for fear tactics or gimmicks just to get a sale.
You are a smart person, so I am absolutely sure that you understand the benefits of dealing with such a company instead, right?
+They got a couple of more benefits you might appreciate as much as I do, you will understand yourself once you have visited the page (link) above.

With that being said, let´s continue with the review on Next Generation Trust Company!
What is Next Generation Trust Company?
The licensed trust firm chartered in South Dakota, Next Generation Trust Company was founded on a system where each person should have a command over his or her Retirement plans. The Company educates professionals and consumers about self-directed Retirement plans as well as nontraditional investments, a strategy once reserved for the wealthy.
Its mission is to offer customers the necessary tools and support in investing in self-directed Retirement plans with various investments found in an IRA, including precious metals, private placements, notes, and mortgages, as well as real estate.
The Company is the administrator of self-directed Retirement plans. Next Generation Services, the sister firm to Next Generation Trust Company, offers detailed account administration and transaction support with the sister Company acting as the custodian for all accounts.
Next Generation Trust Company has a team of neutral third-party professionals who professionally guide customers and their advisors for personalized service for a hassle-free transaction experience from the beginning to the end.
The Management Team
Next Generation Trust Company has a team of between 10 and 15 friendly professionals who are always willing to help their customers with personalized services.
Fee Schedule
The Next Generation Trust Company charges $50 as an account setup fee. Compared to other custodians, the charges are fair for interested parties. The Company also charges a maximum of $500 or 0.50 percent of the account balance.
The Company also offers customers a free fee calculator on their website to help get Your estimated fees based on the published fee schedule of the company. The tool comes in handy when differentiating a wide range of custodians, based on the cost to use them.
It is essential to note that, the fees may differ from other broker-dealers who offer transactional services if you have not used a self-directed IRA custodian before or administrator to manage your account.
Important: Please make sure that you know exactly what fees are associated before you sign anything, I have seen so many reports online of people getting surprised with so-called hidden fees that they had no idea about until it was too late. Transparency is what you want to look for in this industry.
**My #1 recommended gold & silver IRA company is 100% transparent + they got a few other benefits you might want to have a look at if you are interested in a new IRA, see this page
Some of the accounts available for this custodian include:
- SEP IRA / SERSEP
- Traditional IRA
- Defined Contribution Plan
- Individual 401(k)
- SIMPLE IRA
- Roth IRA
Next Generation Trust firm does not allow all assets that other custodians manage.
It only takes assets such as:
- Real Estate
- Private Placement like REIT and BDC
- Options or Hedges (non-publicly traded)
- Futures or Managed Futures
- Hedge funds
- Limited Partnerships
If a Client wants to add a new asset to their account, the custodian will send out the appropriate asset kit, and guide on how to complete the asset kit and requirements, review the documents, and fund assets.
Self Direct Your Retirement Transparency Index
The Next Generation Trust Company has developed the metric to show the transparencies of self-directed IRA custodians are about their company. The custodian values transparency as the ideal trait from a company that offers administration of their customer’s accounts. That indicates that the company does not hide its activities. That shows the shows how reliable the company is.
This Index has two parts. One part of the index is whether the interested parties offered this information or the custodian had to look for that data on their own. Businesses that offered the custodian the data, are given the “company certified seal.” Those who did not participate and the custodian had to search for the information, do not have the seal on their profile.
The index second part is how transparent the companies were while offering the custodian this information. The higher the Transparency numbers the more transparent is the company. Companies with over 80 percent Transparency are ideal. Some companies have legitimate reasons as to why they do not share some information. When making Your decision, try considering this factor.
Under the seal, the Next Generation Trust Company lists the last time a Company offered the custodian the information. If a Company has the seal, be rest assured that the information provided is up-to-date. The custodian contacts the Company periodically to make sure they offered accurate information. However, if the Company decides not to verify the information provided, Next Generation Trust Company removes the seal. The primary factor to consider when selecting a self-directed IRA administrator or custodian.

Final words and verdict
Verdict: Legit
Overall rating: (4 / 5)
Ok, I think that sums up the overall view of this company pretty good, it is a legit one for sure, however, if it is the best one out there is a whole other story. I would strongly advice that you compare different alternatives against eachother to get a better overall view, and in order for you to get the best deal possible.
The biggest frustration is when self-directed IRA investors realize they have picked unreliable self-directed IRA administrators or custodians. Setting up an account takes time and funding Your investment is another toll. When trying to fund Your investment, the last thing you want to do is to change to a different custodian.
Take Your time and look for a reliable Self-directed IRA custodian or administrator. If you choose a reliable company, you will save time, money and have peace of mind. With an ideal self-directed IRA Custodian, you are sure of professional assistance or financial advice.
In short (and some recommendations)
If you are into the assets that they offer then you might want to seriously consider this company. However, if you are looking for assets like gold & silver, or even cryptocurrency then you have to look at other alternatives. Whatever it is you are looking for please ALWAYS compare different options against eachother as it can be a big difference, especially when it comes to fees, the last thing you want is to be surprised by so-called hidden fees.
