Warning!
There are many scammers who will trick you into giving them your hard-earned cash.
They employ high-pressure sales techniques like calling you every day.
To avoid this, please do your own research before you decide what firm to invest with.
You can do this by checking the reviews and ratings independent 3rd party consumer protection agencies give them.
To discover which investment firm consumers rate the highest… who won’t bother you with pushy sales calls… and who you can trust to protect and grow your wealth… then take a look at the #1 Recommended Gold & Silver IRA Dealer on our top-5 list.
With that being said, let´s continue with the review on Patriot Gold Group!
What is Patriot Gold Group?
Based in Nashville Tennessee and founded in 1986, Patriot Gold Group is a precious metals dealer that specializes in providing IRA-eligible precious metals from their clients. We’ll be discussing the products this company offers you later in the review!
Patriot Gold Group has an alternate business name which is Halt Gold Group LLC.
This company isn’t an IRA custodian, it works with their clients’ IRA custodians and provides them with the precious metals we talked about. The website looks neat and the fact that this company has been around for 35+ years is definitely a plus.
If you have previously read any reviews on Gold Retired, you probably know by now that we always recommend that you get your precious metals and invest in an IRA at the same place to avoid all the hassle of working with two different companies and although Patriot Gold Group handles communications with the custodian, the broker, the shipping company, and the vault company, I would still prefer to work with a single company that has everything from start to finish.
What are the products and services offered?
Patriot Gold Group offers silver, platinum, palladium, and gold coins, bars, and much more!
You can visit their website to check out their full range of precious metals.
Patriot Gold Group IRAs
It comes as no surprise that PGG offer IRA services as they got IRA approved gold and IRA approved silver among their products. This company offers self-directed precious metals IRAs.
The custodians partnered with PPG are:
Other than that, there isn’t much information about the other types of IRAs you can open with this company. Some crucial information isn’t displayed on their website.
You must either contact their customer support or fill in some forms to get the information you need and I honestly didn’t like that.

IRA fees?
Just like the IRAs offered, the IRA fees aren’t clear and you must fill out forms or contact customer support to get an idea about the fees that can be associated with opening a retirement account through this company.
It’s ALWAYS advised that you get an idea about these exact fees because that’s where most of the rip-offs take place.
Many scam companies add “hidden fees” that aren’t displayed on their website and end up stealing tremendous amounts of money from their clients.
While it’s unlikely this is the case for this company since it has so many positive reviews, you can never be safe enough.

Can you store with the company?
Yes, you can store with this company, getting more information about storage requires filling in forms too.
Just like the IRA fees, the storage fees also depend on the custodian you’re working with.
I would’ve liked to have seen all the information I need on their website.
**Keep in mind that you can not store IRA gold at home as it is simply not allowed.
Can you sell back to the company?
The lack of information on the Patriot Gold Group website also applies to this. You can sell back to this company, but you must fill in the forms as usual.
I understand why they might use this strategy to collect emails but it’s not that good when it comes to their transparency.
Can you get the precious metals delivered home?
As a precious metals dealer, Patriot Gold Group delivers precious metals to its customers but doesn’t allow them to store the precious metals included in their IRA accounts at home.
Countries allowed?
The website also doesn’t include information about the countries Patriot Gold Group allows, we assume it is for U.S citizens only.
Is Patriot Gold Group a Scam?
So, is Patriot Gold Group a scam? No, it is not a scam, it is a legit company with real owners and a real physical address. It would not have survived this long if they didn´t conduct legit business, right?
However, if they are your best alternative out there is a whole other story, and that leads us to what the most well-known and trusted independent third party consumer protection agencies have to say about them:

Conclusion from these ratings above:
We didn´t find many complaints and Patriot Gold Group has some promising reviews on Trustpilot. But, it suffers from a lack of quantity in reviews on the other top review websites and got an A+ rating by the BBB (with only 6 reviews), which makes it fall behind compared to other competitors with HUNDREDS of positive reviews and also the BBB accreditation plus top-ratings from all of the above sites.
What I find a bit strange is that the company claims to have been in business for 35+ years on their website but only for 3 years on the BBB website?

Final Words and Verdict
Verdict: Legit
Overall rating: (3.5 / 5)
Okay, I think this sums up everything there is to know about Patriot Gold Group. This company has great reviews on Trustpilot and good customer service according to some testimonials there. It was not accredited by the BBB when we wrote this review but when visiting the BBB website now they are accredited.
The website doesn’t include some important information that you can access only by filling in the forms. Also, being just a precious metals dealer and not also a custodian makes this company fall behind compared to other top competitors in our opinion.
In the comment section below there are some red flags as well,
as always the decision is up to you to make, I am only here to present you with what we find.

I worked with Patriot Gold Group on my IRA and appreciate this review as I am doing my research. Patriot Gold Group is actually accredited with BBB and have been very transparent in working together. I would definitely recommend contacting them to get information on Gold and Silver. These guys know their stuff.
First of all, thank you for your comment! Happy to hear you liked the review! Ok I see, they was not an accredited business when we wrote this review a couple of months ago but I visited the BBC website just now and saw that theye now are, thank you for telling us.
Thank you again for your comment,

Michael, while I appreciate your attempt to review PGG, you have no idea how they operate until you are a customer so please, please take ANYTHING positive off your review, or, buy some of their “collectible” coins and see how your opinion changes. My recently deceased elderly father, a 100% disabled US veteran was convinced by one of their high pressure salesmen over the course of 3 years to spend over $230,000 on collectible gold, silver and platinum coins. VERY LITTLE gold bullion was ever sold to him. My father was not precious metal savvy and had no idea how to fact check the REAL prices of this stuff on the Internet. I do admit his stupidity in not going to a formal coin dealer after his first purchase to see if the coins were of value or not, but nevertheless PGG is negligent in marking up these common collectible coins to criminally outrageous prices. When I took the coins to multiple coins dealers in various cities and states, they again and again would shake their heads and say “we see folks like you in here all the time, taken by these telemarketer/TV coin dealers”. They would then give me current retail prices for all the coins my father bought, and I was shocked that they were only 25-30% of what they were purchased at. If I sold them to them, I would get even less.
Keep preaching to whoever will listen about this horrible, horrible company.
First of all, thank you for leaving your comment,
I try to present what we find and am thankful for your input on this,
others will see this and hopefully this will help as well,
