July 8, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment

Today we review Scottsdale Bullion and Coin for you. What is Scottsdale Bullion and Coin? How does it work? Do they have any complaints from their customers? Do they match up against our top-5 list of top-rated dealers? This and more in this short review. Let´s look into it!

Name of the Company: Scottsdale Bullion and Coin (SBC)What is Scottsdale Bullion & Coin?

Official Website URL: https://www.sbcgold.com/

Owner: Scottsdale Bullion and Coin, LLC.

Overall rating: 4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)

Essential to mention (before we go into more details of this review)

We strongly recommend doing your research online before choosing a company to invest in. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped off and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly and compare different alternatives before you make your decision.

One example: 99.9% of companies got “pushy” salespeople trying to stress you into acting fast.

Here is the thing, the #1 Recommended Gold & Silver IRA Dealer on our top-5 list got No-salesy representatives… So they won´t bother or terrorize you with phone calls.

You are an intelligent person, so I am sure that you understand the benefits of dealing with such a company instead, right?

+They got a couple more benefits you might appreciate as much as I do. You will understand yourself once you have visited the page (link) above.

With that being said, let´s continue with the review on Scottsdale Bullion & Coin!

Intro

Scottsdale Bullion and Coin is a famous company in its niche, but how much do you know about it? In this article, I shall highlight some of the main things that you might be interested in knowing about it, hoping that I will help you choose whether to rely on the product and services that they offer. While at it, I will also bring to light the pros and cons that clients who rely on Scottsdale Bullion and Coin usually encounter.

What is Scottsdale Bullion and Coin?

Scottsdale Bullion and Coin (SBC) is a reputable precious metals dealer. It is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, where its significant operations are run. This company’s objective is to supply people in the marketplace with the best quality of precious metals and the opportunities to invest in those metals.is scottsdale bullion & coin a scam? That is why SBC has its doors open to clients who are willing to learn how gold, silver, platinum, and palladium markets operate and how they can build wealth by investing in these precious metals. Most of the companies that operate in a manner that is related to what SBC does usually provide only one service, for instance, supplying the precious metals only, or in other cases supplying a platform through which precious metal dealers can make the extra money. Scottsdale Bullion and Coin, therefore, comes in as an” everything-under-one-roof” company, and this gives it an edge over most competitors.

For clients who would like to reach out to the support staff in this company, they can do so through:

  • Local telephone: 480-459-5597
  • Toll-free line: 888-812-9892
  • Physical Address: 14500 N. Northsight Blvd. #204 Scottsdale, AZ 85260.

How does it work?

As the investor, Scottsdale Bullion and Coin offers you an opportunity to build wealth through an informed approach. The first product that this company offers is a free guide to investing in precious metals in the form of bullion, bars, and coins, and this is delivered to your email address. You must have a valid U.S phone number to get this guide, as is shown on the contact form that new clients and those making inquiries fill out.

Unlike other companies that deal in precious metal sales and investments and where one is required to open an account through a website sign up, SBC will require that you either call their support team or have them give you a call through the contact that you provided them with.

Essentially, the process followed by new clients until they have the first investment running is as shown below:

1. Request a free investing guide (Free Precious Metals Investor Kit)
2. Contact a consultant at SBC to discuss your most preferred option.
3. Have the relevant accounts set up for you.
4. Begin investing in precious metals.

This process is likely to vary, depending on what a client is looking for in this company. Some want to buy the precious metals, those who want to sell, and those who want to be guided throughout the investment process.

Products and services offered?

As an investor or trader looking forward to growing your wealth, you can access a range of products and services at Scottsdale Bullion and Coin. The main products are in the form of variations of precious metals as shown below:

1. Bullions

  • You can buy, sell or invest in platinum, gold, silver, and palladium bullions in the form of bars and coins.
You must have a social security number if you are to liquidate specific amounts of bullion.
  • Examples include American Eagle Coins, South African Krugerrand, etc.

2. Numismatics

These are valued based on their conditions, demand, and scarcity instead of checking their precious metal content.

  • These products are perceived (potentially) as exempt from government confiscation.
  • Examples include the coins graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS).

3. Proof Coins

  • These are collector versions of the bullion coins that are mass-produced.
  • They are usually passed through a unique process in which detailed images are imprinted on them.
  • U.S Mint Certificates of Authenticity are offered as proof of authenticity.
  • They are rare.
  • Include the Proof American Eagle coins.

Apart from the precious metal products, some other complementary products and services are offered to clients. These include:

  • Free Precious Metal Investors Kit ‘
  • Free Q7A consultation process.
  • Expert Reports about precious metals.
  • Investment platform and approach.

Scottsdale Bullion & Coin Gold IRAs?

As they got both IRA approved gold and IRA approved silver among their product it comes as no surprise that they offer an IRA service to their customers. So, yes, they do offer IRAs, which is a plus (at least in my book). The custodians they have partnered with are several, and on their website they do not mention any of them, at least not what I found.

They provide you with good info on why an IRA is a good alternative and how you can get started though…

Is Scottsdale Bullion & Coin a Scam?

So is Scottsdale Bullion and Coin a scam? No, it is not a scam, of course not. It happens to be a legit company that offers top-quality products and investment services. There is sufficient proof that SBC is serving the interests of its clients properly.

However, if they are your best alternative out there is another story.

That leads us to what the most well-known and trusted, independent third party consumer protection agencies have to say:

Rating: A+ (from 5 reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)

Any complaints?

Yes, we found some complaints as well, for example on the Yelp website (see link above)

below are 2 examples of “not so happy” clients:

I used to be a customer. Buyer beware. They charge 24-30% more than the fair market value. They charged me 9,9660.00 for a coin I found out was worth around 3,000.00. BUYER BEWARE

Anybody that gives this place a good score is just a shill.
They only sell coins sight unseen.  I bought two coins
graded MS63. The coins I received were bag beat, dirty
and scared. Definitely low quality coins that I paid too
much for. Don’t be fooled by their scam of paying before
you see the coin. If they can’t afford to carry an inventory
you don’t want to do business there.

Conclusion from these ratings:

To begin with, this company is BBB accredited and has an A+ rating. With BBB being a very trusted consumer trust site, it goes without much emphasis that SBC is a company that can be trusted to deliver quality products and services.

However, the consumer protection agency that I always put most weight on is Trustpilot, the reason for that is because only real customers of a particular product or service can leave their testimonial there. I find it a bit weird that there was nothing to be found about Scottsdale Bullion there, and that is a minus (at least in my book).

SBC has been in operation since 2012, which is sufficient time for any suspicious and illegal activities to have been pointed out.

Also, the products that this company sells are graded and authenticated by the numismatic regulatory bodies in the USA, such as Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). As such, only genuine products get to this company’s customers, so that is a good sign, of course.

All in all I would say the ratings are good even if they aren´t that many.

There are other companies with a lot more reviews and rating on all of the above (including Trustpilot) consumer protection agencies. So please be aware of that, and an advice would be to compare them before you decide what company to go with.

Investment opportunities?

Scottsdale Bullion and Coin offers investors the opportunity to invest in precious metals. As discussed above, it also offers the clients sufficient education to rise from novice investors to expert investors in a wide variety of precious metal products. Investors who walk into this Scottsdale Bullion and Coin get every resource they require under one roof. This is exactly how this company has established its position in the market as a top precious metals investment company.

Pros and Cons

It is always wise (and recommended) to look at both the positive and the negative sides of a company before making any decisions. As always in our reviews, we provide you with some clear points on both sides of the spectrum:

Pros

  • It is BBB accredited.
  • Offers IRA investment opportunities.
  • Sufficient investor education.
  • Live-chat on their website

Cons

  • Some complaints found on customers who claim their products are expensive.
  • No info on what IRA custodians they are partnered with other than “they are plenty”
  • Nothing to be found on the Trustpilot site

Final words and verdict

Verdict: Legit

Overall rating: 4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)

Ok, I think that sums up the overall view of Scottsdale Bullion and Coin pretty well. It is a legit service for sure. However, if it is the right one for you or not, you have to decide for yourself. It is always wise to educate yourself as much as possible in the areas you are interested in. So SBC might be a good thing for you. However, make sure to get your info from more than one source.
