Important to mention before we go into more details of this review:
We always strongly recommend to do your research online before you choose a company to invest with. There are so many reviews online of clients being ripped of and scammed. So please investigate thoroughly before you make your decision.
With that being said, let´s continue with the review on SILVER.com!
What is SILVER.com about?
This company was founded in 2013 and is a precious metals internet retailer. They have a wide variety of metals and the shape and form of the metals aswell. You can find collector items as well as more traditional bars, bullion and coins.
The physical address of this company is: 5930 Royal Lane, Ste. E-151 Dallas, TX 75230
How does it work?
In short, this is a company that deals with precious metals, and also delivery.
The payment methods are: Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, Bank Wire, Paper Check and Bitcoin.
This company can also help you to open and fund a precious metals IRA.
The products and service offered:
On the silver.com website you can find gold, silver, platinum, palladium and even copper. They come in all forms and shapes, everything from bars and coins to collective items.
**You can also find accessories such as coin tubes and coin holders for example.
Yes, IRAs are offered here aswell. They claim to works with any and all accredited IRA custodians, and on their website it is stated that they have a close relationship with 4 of them at the moment. The process to open an IRA is usually a simple one, that is also the case with this company:
I cannot find any info about the fees on the IRA page on their website, there is info on what a precious metals IRA is and on what metals are IRA approved but not a word about the fees… However, on their FAQ page I managed to find some text, with the answer to the questions about IRA fees:
Important to mention: I always repeat to my readers to make sure they are 100% sure of exactly what fees they are going to have to pay upfront, before they sign anything. There are so many stories online of people who get´s surprised with so-called hidden fees that they had no idea of before it is to late, and that can be a mistake you rather avoid. I am not saying that this is the case here, I am just saying that you might want to make sure that you know before you move forward.

Can you get the gold & silver delivered to your home?
Yes you can! You get free shipping on any order over $3k and your shippment is fully insured. On orders under $3k there is a $7,99 flat rate.
Can you store your investment with the company?
Again, I didn´t find much info about this topic on the website, however, when it comes to IRAs you can not get your metals shipped to you. SILVER.com will instead ship your purchaced metals directly to a third-party depository.
Can you sell back to the company?
Yes you can! They got a minimum purchace of $1k for buyback. On their website they claim to give you a fair and resonable buyback price.
Can anybody in any country use their service?
This is not mentioned on their website, but am going to assume their services are for U.S. citizens only as their flat shipping rate for orders under $3k is $7,99
Is SILVER.com a SCAM or Legit?
So, is SILVER.com a scam or a legit company? In my opinion this is a legit company, it got real owners and a real physical address. As you can see just a few lines further down I have also noted that they are an accredited business by the BBB aswell.
So, yes you can be calm, this company is a legit one.
However, if it is the best one out there is a whole different story, and something you have to decide yourself. This leads us to what their clients have expressed about their experience with the company:
Silver.com reviews, complaints and ratings online:
When I review a particular company I never look at the reviews found on their own websites or Facebook profiles for example, you obviously understand why, right? What I focus on is their ratings on the most well-known and trusted sources, mainly independent third-party consumer protection agencies. Below is what I found (with clickable links):
Rating: (2.8 / 5) (out of 9 customer reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)
BBB (Better Business Bureau)
Rating: (4.1 / 5) (out of 20 customer reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)
Rating: (1.6 / 5) (out of 11 customer reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)
The conclusion from this:
Well, as you can see above they got ratings from 2 of the most well-known and trusted independent 3rd party consumer protection agencies, you can also clearly see their ratings, in my opinion pretty average ones. If you want to read both the positive aswell as the negative customer opinions you can do that through the links above.
** If you want to see the company that is the fastest growing in the U.S for the last couple of years and also got top-ratings from the most independent 3rd party agencies in the industry then you can do that on this page
How´s the support?
The support they got is mainly through e-mail or by calling them directly at the tool free nr: (888-989-7223),
I was actually looking for a live-chat for several minutes as it is stated on their website that they have one.
However I didn´t manage to find it, so if they have one, it is pretty well hidden.
The pros & cons
It is always a good idea to compare the positive sides against the negatives to get a better overall view of something, right? As always in my reviews I provide you with some clear points on both sides of the spectrum:
- Wide variety of precious metals and collectives + accessories
- Accredited by the BBB
- Accept Bitcoin and Paypal payments
- Offers IRAs
- Not very impressive reviews and ratings from the well-known consumer protection agencies
- The IRA fees are not found on their website
Do You Own or Represent SILVER.com?
If you are a representative, or associate of SILVER.com and have found something not to be correct in this review please, feel free to tell and I will make sure to update the info on this post. The easiest way to do it is in the comment section below or simply by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Final words and verdict
Overall rating: (3.8 / 5)
Ok, think that sums up the overall view of this particular company pretty well, right? It is absolutely a legit one, they have been in business since 2015 and are accredited by the BBB. However, the reviews and ratings from their customers could be better. I like the fact that they do accept Bitcoin payments though and only that took my personal rating up from 3,5 to 3,8 instead. It is not very common to see a precious metals dealer to do that, so that is a big plus (atleast in my book)
As always the decision is up to you to make, please just make sure to ALWAYS do your own research and to compare different alternatives against eachother in order for you to get the best deal!
You are a smart person, and I am absolutely sure that you will find the right company that suits your particular needs the best and that you feel comfortable doing business with!
